Nothing But the Heat

"Once upon a time it will be so hot that all words lose their meaning.
Once upon a time it will be so cold that the air turns to static.
Once upon a time it will rain so hard that no one will find their way home.
Once upon a time the air will be so thick that no one will remember a thing.

Once upon a time we'll stop counting how many records are being broken.
It's not news anymore when it happens every day."

Nothing But the Heat is a 20 minute solo performance weaving together story telling and spoken word. Exploring environmental collapse and our relationship to time, this piece plays with how the everyday can be linked to the monumental and back again.
